Predict Thermal Effects & Avoid Winding Overheating with Duct Cooling in MotorSolve v5.2

MotorSolve Thermal 3D FEA simulations work seamlessly with the electromagnetic field solver to predict the heating and cooling profile of brushless & induction machines. The proprietary algorithms developed by Infolytica Corporation allow for extremely accurate and rapid simulations.

Press Release: What is new MotorSolve v5.2enewsletter-66-01

The new release adds Duct Cooling to the extensive list already available (Fan, Spray, and Contact). Duct Cooling parameters allow the user to configure the duct type (axial or spiral), apply the cooling to either the housing or the rotor, declare the number of channels, set the inlet temperature and flow rate and assign air, water or other cooling fluids (ethylene glycol, etc.).

MotorSolve v5.2 will be featured in the “Motor Design Considerations When Adding Forced Convection Cooling” webinar by on March 30, 2016. Visit their website for details and registration.
