Design Parameters
MotorSolve SRM uses a template-based GUI which makes creating new designs from scratch effortless - just select a rotor and stator type then specify information such as:
- Number of poles and slots - can be arbitrarily large
- Stack length
- Basis geometric dimensions of the coils and teeth
- Lamination and coil material
- Temperature for each component
- Skew angles
Coil Winding Editor
The Coil Winding Editor generates an initial winding layout for any SRM which can serve as a launching point for entering any user-specific layout.
Complete Problem Export to MagNet
MotorSolve SRM exports the device geometry, materials data and winding configuration to a MagNet file. The problem is setup with optimized mesh settings and correct boundary settings. The user can use the default excitation or modify it to accommodate the drive type or performance characteristics of interest.
