Magnetostatic 2D solver
The Magnetostatic 2D solver finds the magnetostatic field in and around specified current distributions that are in the presence of linear (isotropic or anisotropic) or non-linear (isotropic) magnetic materials. In addition, each material may have a specified coercivity and direction of magnetization, thus allowing for the modeling of permanent magnets. The specified currents may flow through any type of material, including magnetic materials.
- For translationally-symmetric (X-Y) problems, the specified currents must flow parallel to the Z-axis.
- For rotationally-symmetric (R-Z) problems, the specified currents must flow in the azimuthal (phi) direction. The direction of magnetization must lie in the plane of analysis (i.e., X-Y for translational, R-Z for rotational).
