¹ 1 GB RAM is sufficient for average 3D problems, 2 GB RAM is recommended for intense 3D problems. Please consult with your sales or support representative as certain modelling situations will require more than 2 GB of RAM.

The Intel Core 2 and Xeon 5100 series CPUs are preferred for 64-bit floating point intensive applications. These are followed by the AMD Athlon64 or Opteron CPUs, and subsequently by the Intel Pentium IV, Pentium D or other Xeon CPUs in order of descending performance for such applications.

ATI Radeon series or the NVIDIA GeForce series are examples of suitable video cards.
