Interoperability refers to linking two software applications together in order to complement each other's functionality using the Client-Server paradigm (see below for more). Infolytica applications can be either the Client Application or Server Application.
Infolytica applications can communicate with any ActiveX-compliant application such as
- Microsoft Office ©
- MATLAB®
- MathCad ©
- AutoCAD ©
Infolytica applications can also interact with non-ActiveX compliant applications using built-in methods.
Client-Server paradigm
In the Client-Server communication paradigm, the client is the process that makes a request to the server process.
Example of an Infolytica Application as a Client: After completing a simulation, MagNet exports data to Excel and uses it's graphing tools to plot the results
Example of an Infolytica Application as a Server: Excel exports into ElecNet values from specific cells that represent the measurements of the desired device
