OptiNet 2.1 and Trajectory Evaluator Assistant 2.0 are released

Montréal, Québec, Canada – September 14, 2005 -- Infolytica today announced the release of OptiNet 2.1, its top-of-the-line design optimization tool, and Trajectory Evaluator Assistant 2.0, a module that simulates the trajectory of a particle over time.

The latest OptiNet release, version 2.1, comes equipped with:

  • a wider variety of objective/constraint functions
  • an expanded list of built-in functions for expressions
  • re-usable expression variables

Trajectory Evaluator Assistant 2.0, has added the following new functionality:

  • Relativistic effects, which were previously ignored, are now taken into account -- these effects are a factor when dealing with particles moving at, or near, the speed of light.
  • Another new feature of the Assistant is that a coefficient of viscosity, also known as drag, can be added to the particle.
