Migration towards a 64-bit environment
leads to a significant increase in speed and solution size

Montréal, Québec, Canada – August 26, 2005 -- Consistently being rated as having the fastest software in the electromagnetics simulation industry, by both current customers as well as evaluators of our products, has not prevented Infolytica from continually pushing the boundaries in search of conquering the challenges that today's designers face. These challenges include developing more complex multi-physics simulations that require powerful computer processors and unlimited memory allocations. Over the past several months, we have been hard at work preparing our software applications for the brave new world of 64-bit processing. Along the way, we have made considerable strides in achieving speedier and more memory-efficient applications that will not only benefit users of our soon-to-be-released (Fall 2005) 64-bit versions, but also benefit those presently using the 32-bit versions, as well. The migration to Microsoft's Windows® XP Professional x64 platform presented a tremendous opportunity for Infolytica to update the architecture of our systems, and the groundwork has resulted in a significant increase in speed (from 1.1 to 2.5 times faster) and sizeable memory allocations (from 1.2 to 2.0 times larger ) in our 32-bit versions, allowing for larger 3D problem size. Of course, these increases will not only be inherently ported to the new 64-bit versions, but will reap substantial gains to users when combined with the up to 16TB of virtual memory that will be available for the analysis of large devices. Now, the belief that you are only limited by your hardware configuration has never been truer.
