MotorSolve
to be Released in April 2007
MotorSolve,
to be released in April 2007, is the first modern electric motor design
software which combines powerful automated FEA simulations with an
easy-to-use and intuitive interface. The extensive set of standard
rotor and stator templates make changes to parameters simple and
conveniently trackable with the built-in design history feature.

Winding Layouts,
Analysis and Short Pitching with MotorSolve
UID).INBOX)50101)
One of the most important aspects of
motor design is to choose the correct winding layout. For a given
pole-slot combination and winding type, MotorSolve automatically
computes and gives the designer the option of choosing from a selection
of balanced (i.e. all phases with same back emf and out of phase by 120
degrees) layout possibilities (assuming 3 phase windings). For each of
these layouts the back emf, back emf harmonics and winding factors are
also readily available for analysis. In this page, each of these
capabilities is demonstrated and a simple application and a number of
examples are shown. More >

Success Story: MagneMotion
MagneMotion,
Acton, Mass., recently
received a patent for its MagLev (magnetic levitation) system, which
uses a single magnetic structure to provide suspension.
To honor their technical excellence, Motion System Design Magazine
profiled Magnemotions' magnetic levitation trains.
As one of our many MagNet users, we wish to congratulate
MagneMotion on their excellent work and hope for their continued
success.
