Optimizing Electromechanical and Control Circuit Parameters of Brushless Motors
This Gallery example revisits a case study that examined the vector control of an Interior Permanent
Magnet (IPM) motor that is simulated using the combined power of PSIM (from PowerSim Inc) and
MagNet. In this case, we push the original study a little further by illustrating how the use of OptiNet,
Infolytica's Design Optimization simulation software, can improve the design & performance of the
IPM motor by increasing the response speed and minimizing the drive's overshoot.
