New ElecNet release includes Transient 3D
The Transient 3D solver is now available in ElecNet. This new solver can be used to find 3D time-varying electric fields produced by specified voltages that vary arbitrarily in time. The use of the Transient 3D solver is required when both the conductive and capacitive effects in a device are essential to providing an accurate solution. To complement the addition of this new solver, we've added a new feature, "Resume Transient", which can be used in one of two ways -- to resume a stopped solution or to extend the current transient solution. Other improvements include changes to the material properties that allow all ElecNet solvers to handle nonlinear permittivity and conductivity (i.e. the property can change with electric field intensity), and the availability of thin structures (i.e., thin resistive sheets and surface charge) in 3D as well as 2D. To get more information on ElecNet 6.9, please contact one of our sales representatives at 514-849-8752 or by email at info@infolytica.com.

MagNet 6.13, ThermNet 1.6, and OptiNet 1.1 releases coming soon
These latest versions are about to be released and will be available for downloading from our Support site shortly. Some of the enhancements that will be found in these releases are:
- Resume a transient solution to extend the solution
- Adaptive time stepping has been added to the Transient 3D solvers
- More memory is available for solving
- Solver log files now display memory usage information
- All property pages are resizable
- Added zooming to the graphs in the property pages
- Export SAT files to any version
- Added property page for imported components that allows users to edit or break the link to the external model file
- Solver Progress dialog now displays the amount of virtual memory used while solving
- Added texture-mapped shaded plots
- Solved model files can now be bigger than 2GB
- Overall speed increase of 5-10%
Note For a more comprehensive list of enhancements, please refer to the Readme file of each product.
Important notice for users who are upgrading to the latest releases
Beginning with ElecNet 6.9, MagNet 6.13, ThermNet 1.6, and OptiNet 1.1, a new license is required to run these versions and all future versions. Before installing any of the new releases, it is imperative that you contact Customer Support to request a new license, since previous license files are not compatible with these versions.

Documentation Center
The Documentation Center (DC) is an integrated and centralized source of up-to-date documentation for all Infolytica products. It can be used for remote training purposes for those who cannot attend training courses at Infolytica's offices, or for those who simply need a refresher on certain concepts or procedures. The DC is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, making it an invaluable assistant that will help you optimize your time when working with Infolytica products.
Note This new addition to our web site is made available exclusively to our maintained customers.
News & Events
UGM 2003
This year's User Group Meeting was once again very informative and beneficial to both our own staff as well as to the users in attendance. If you were unable to attend, you can still get access to the presentations given by visiting the UGM 2003 section of our web site.
Webinars
Please join us at our next scheduled webinar on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at 3PM EST where you can evaluate and gain a different perspective of our products. Webinars are free web-based interactive seminars that are conducted online and in real-time. It is a convenient and effective way to get the information you need without taking time away from the office.
This announcement is offered as a way to inform the Electromagnetic community of the many efforts Infolytica is making to provide state-of-the-art advances in this field. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, simply send an e-mail to listserv@listserv.infolytica.com with the words "SIGNOFF INFO-ANNOUNCE" in the message field.
