Loudspeaker analysis - Thermal effects in a transient solution

A new gallery page has been added to the group of loudspeaker analyses. This page demonstrates how you can use ThermNet, in concert with MagNet, to determine the thermal effects due to eddy currents induced in the top plate and central pole of a loudspeaker.

This gallery page demonstrates how you can accurately model the effects of the cogging torque in a brushless DC motor, using MagNet's Transient 2D with Motion solver.

The Download Library contains downloadable versions of our recently updated software product (ElecNet 6.5). New features that expand the 3D modeling capabilities of Infolytica's applications have been incorporated into this ElecNet release, as well as in future releases of MagNet 6.10 and ThermNet 1.3, which are currently under development.

Scripting discussion group

All maintained users of Infolytica's scripting option will be automatically subscribed to the Scripting Discussion Group. This service will be of particular interest to those users who are exploring ways to:

  • automate the use of MagNet, ElecNet, ThermNet, or FullWave;
  • build application-specific shells on top of these products;
  • use any of these products within an optimization tool; or
  • use scripts developed by other users.

The discussion group is set up as a free e-mail service, and allows for the exchange of ideas and suggestions amongst group members. One of the added benefits will be the ability to share scripting code with colleagues at other companies.

We are quite confident that you will find in this forum, a repository of knowledge helpful to your day-to-day work. Of course, you can withdraw from the group at any time. A complete list of commands, including the one needed to unsubscribe, will be sent in the form of a "Welcome message" that you will receive shortly after subscribing.

Training courses

An ElecNet & FullWave training course is scheduled for December 11-13, 2001. Participants will acquire a sound understanding of 2D and 3D electromagnetics modeling and will learn to work effectively on their company's designs using ElecNet & FullWave software.
