SPEED GDF Converter
Using Infolytica's powerful scripting feature, our colleagues from Infolytica Limited in the U.K. have successfully created a link between MagNet and SPEED, the electric motor/drive design analysis software. Our Gallery section contains some examples of this new product. Please contact a sales representative for more information.
Analyzing MEMS-based RF Switches
To learn more about the tools available to analyze MEMS-based RF switches, we have provided a brief write-up on how ElecNet, MagNet, or FullWave can be used to address this particular need.
Loudspeaker device
Four new gallery pages have been created that demonstrate the versatility of MagNet. Each of the pages deals with the analysis of a loudspeaker device in their own unique fashion.
- 2D/3D Magnetostatic -- A basic analysis of a loudspeaker design in 2D and 3D.
- Automation -- Examples that use scripting to analyze loudspeakers.
- Thermal effects -- Results of MagNet's capabilities in handling material properties that are functions of temperature.
- Voice Coil Motion -- Analyzes the voice coil response to a signal using MagNet's 2D Transient with motion solver

Training courses
The preliminary planning for a training course on scripting is progressing nicely. Although some have already indicated their preference as to what direction the course outline should take, we would still like to hear from more of you. Your input is important to us, so please drop us a line (support@infolytica.com) and have a say in how this new course is designed. Rest assured that any suggestions you make, will be used solely as a way for our training staff to gauge the level of complexity required in designing the Scripting course, and will not be construed as a commitment on your part to attend such a course.
The next MagNet Training Course is scheduled for November 13 - 15, 2001. This course offers a fast way to become productive with one of the most powerful 2D and 3D software tools available for the Electromagnetics' designer.
This announcement is offered as a way to inform the Electromagnetic community of the many efforts Infolytica is making to provide state-of-the-art advances in this field. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, simply send an e-mail to listserv@listserv.infolytica.com with the words "SIGNOFF INFO-ANNOUNCE" in the message field.
