TEAM Problem 28: Levitating plate
This example features the transient 2d with motion capabilities of MagNet by simulating the dynamic behavior of an aluminum plate. Animations show the plate begin to levitate after AC current is applied to the levitating coils, and the graphs compare the motion to experimental results.
TEAM Problem 30: Single-phase induction machine
The accuracy of the transient 2d with motion solver in MagNet is demonstrated in this difficult benchmark, which compares the torque-speed curve of a single-phase induction motor to analytic results.
Induction heating of a tube
Induction heating of a tube, solved using ThermNet and MagNet by coupling the 2D thermal transient solver to the 2D magnetic time-harmonic solver.
NAFEMS Benchmark for Thermal Analysis
The accuracy of the new Thermal solver is verified with this apparently simple benchmark problem, which is actually computationally difficult due to a numerical singularity.
