Some Aspects of the Computer Aided Design of Recording HeadsA general purpose finite element post-processing system implemented on a PDP-11 or a VAX computer is described. The system is applied to the analysis of recording head design and shows examples of a perpendicular head. The package provides the designer with a set of vector and scalar operations with which to manipulate a field solution and a powerful display facility for examining the results. |
