The Application of Finite-Element Calculation to the Remote-Field Inspection Technique

The remote-field technique is a new method used for through-wall eddy current inspection of pipes. There are many intriguing experimental results connected with this technique. Finite-element calculations can be used in the interpretation of these experimental results even though the magnetic fields measured in the remote-field technique are very small.
