Jon P. Webb, Ph.D.

Dr. Jon P. Webb is the Vice President of Infolytica Corporation, Montreal, Canada. He is in charge of developing advanced programs and solvers and conducts research in finite element methods for electromagnetics. Dr. Webb's interests include the development and application of hierarchical elements and adaptation; new elements for vector electromagnetics; and automatic optimization. Dr. Webb's expertise is in particular focused on microwave and he is conducting work in finite elements methods for finding the scattering parameters of microwave components and for the prediction of free space scattering.

Dr. Webb is also a professor of electrical and computer engineering at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, since 1982 and was instrumental in expanding the CAD laboratory at the university.

Dr. Webb received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cambridge University, UK, in 1981. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (APEO). He is on the editorial board of IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques and the editorial board of COMPUMAG and CEFC conference series.
